Ontario Trucking Association’s President, David Bradley, gives support to a stimulus package to promote economic activity and offer relief from the dreary atmosphere. Proposed to the Ontario Legislature’s Standing Committee on Finance, Bradley believes the package to be an important strategic step both for short and long term economic, environmental, and safety goals. The stimulus calls for a temporary exemption/rebate from the Provincial Sales Tax/Multi-Jurisdictional Vehicle Tax for the purchase of new equipment, in line with the industry’s environmental movement towards fuel efficient devices and technologies.
